We will continue to add content to this Raw Water section and explain the myriads of information about all the treatment processes in addition to the difference between types of water available. It is an education process that takes some time, but if you will take the time to read- I will tell you everything I know, the good and the bad-you have my promise. Remember- it becomes your blood in a few hours.

In response to world-wide concerns about chemicals in our everyday lives and their effect on our overall health and well-being, we have decided to market a completely untreated natural spring water taken straight from the source and gravity fed directly into the bottle without treatment. There are natural minerals classified as nutrients in addition to naturally occurring flora such as algae (microscopic chlorophyll containing plants) present in natural spring water that are not only essential to human function but are key ingredients to a healthy existence. Because most source waters are of sub-standard quality and must be filtered and treated to make suitable for sale, these essential nutrients are unfortunately lost in the treatment process. Filtration, Distillation, UV Radiation, Ozonation, Chlorination, and Reverse Osmosis are all treatments which have a varying degree of detriment to the source water. Invariably these essential minerals and algae are either stripped away completely or rendered inert or killed. All of these treatments effectively lower the nourishing capability of water. Tap water is a perfect example of water treated till “death”, and the required chlorine residual keeps on killing long after it leaves the municipal facility.

From the very first time I visited the Summit Spring source, I was amazed at not only how remarkable the source is, but how incredible the water tasted right after it bubbled out of the ground; 42-46°, incredibly clean, soft and almost sweet, with absolutely no aftertaste. I always said that I had wished we could bottle it right then and there and the people, who have been lucky enough to visit the source, will tell you the same thing. Because of the normal institutional pressures and the status-quo of the bottling business, we took the advice of the established “players” in the business and set up our facility just like everyone else, following the so-called “experts” tips. The water tested so purely that we used only the minimum treatment specified through normal channels, albeit reluctantly. Over these last five years as I studied Summits’ history and researched facilities and water quality information, talked with “old timers” about natural springs, and generally wondered about all the magical things related to natural spring water, it became obvious to me that we were uniquely able to do things differently. My most recent relationship with Daniel Vitalis and his groundbreaking work in the raw food community convinced me that the time was right to do something dramatic. Daniel and I have worked hand in hand to release this incredible product to the enlightened consumer. Our mutual desire to offer only the best water on earth coupled with recent news about concerns with certain plastic resins, in addition to the ongoing debate related to recycled plastic bottles, drove us to search out better options. Our love for glass coupled with our desire to bottle water in as natural a state as possible-led us to RAW Water.

As we watched every other bottled water company in the world fight over who could come up with the fanciest bottle (Swarovski Crystals-you’ve got to be kidding), we realized consumers were focusing on the wrong thing… Our “Bling” was inside the bottle.
