Summit Spring Water is proud to be the first, and only bottled water company to be admitted into membership of the
Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association.

Although no water may be labeled "organic," MOFGA recognizes the natural purity of Summit Spring Water and supports our commitment to the sustainable practices we employ to
preserve the integrity of our remarkable
spring and the land around it.

Why Can't Water be Labeled "Organic?"

The USDA does not allow certain base components such as water and salt to be identified as "certified organic." To do so would allow makers of products like shampoo, soup and other products with a high water content to mislead consumers by claiming a high percentage of organic ingredients just because the water portion is organic. So even though Summit Spring Water is as naturally pure as any water we know of on the entire planet,
we can't label it "organic."

We're very proud to be recognized by MOFGA as an unusually pure and natural spring water and support their efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and a healthy lifestyle.
